Because of this new feature, the workspace has become heavily overloaded with absolutely unnecessary information.
Hey! I’m Cam, the Insomnia PM - sorry to hear about your experience with the new navigation in Insomnia 13.
Can you explain to me what your typical workflow looks like? Are you usually in just a couple of collections and thats why having everything feels like too much? or?
I use Collection like “Project”. There are 15 collections in my Insomnia. And I usually only work on one project during the day at a time.
For a tree structure with nesting inside the project, I use folders.
After this update, it turns out that I have 14 extra nodes in the long left tree, which eat up the vertical space.
And I can’t find place with env-variables now ![]()
I mean: {{ _.base_url }}, etc.
yeah, that doesn’t work for me either, because I use env variables.. But it would be really great to have an option in settings to use the old UI (including no tabs!!!). Developers are a pretty conservative bunch; it would be good to have fewer changes to the UI and more to the additional features. I’m going to downgrade to the prev version
