postgreSQL and Cassandra are the only two supported DB’s by Kong now.
If you want a 3rd party option for configurable Kong by file take a look here:
I think its a bit outdated for modern builds of Kong, but if your okay running older Kong(I personally would not desire to do so), then this option would work.
