In Partials - Kong Gateway | Kong Docs, it states:
“Some entities in Kong Gateway share common configuration settings that often need to be repeated. For example, multiple plugins that connect to Redis may require the same connection settings. Without Partials, you would need to replicate this configuration across all plugins. If the settings change, you would need to update each plugin individually.“
After reviewing the documentation, it appears that Partials are only applicable to plugins.
Could you please confirm:
- Are Partials indeed only applicable to plugins? If so, would it be more accurate to revise the opening sentence to: “Some plugins in Kong Gateway share common configuration settings that often need to be repeated”?
Alternatively, if Partials are also applicable to other entities, could you provide examples or clarify this in the documentation?
