Graphql endpoint slow

I have Kong (API Gateway w/o Ingress Controller) setup and I’m noticing that if I run a POST to the graphql endpoint, the request takes 20 seconds. This is weird, when we run Kong in ECS (and not EKS) we don’t have this problem. There is no significant difference in the configuration between the two instances of Kong.

You can see from the above log snippet that 43:03 to 43:23 to complete the request. What’s odd is that in the backend, I can see the request complete almost immediately but for some reason Kong is hanging before returning the payload.

What am I missing here?

Version: Kong Open Source, 2.7

arg. nevermind. it was me earth all along (it wasn’t kong)
