# Kong is changing the url on client :-(

Hi,

I defined a service that points to http://my\_internal\_service\_name and then defined a path for the service /my\_route. Leaving the url something like this:

http://kong\_ip/my\_route

After this, sometimes when clients use this url “http://kong\_ip/my\_route” I don’t know how they end up reaching http://my\_internal\_service\_name and of course it doesn’t work.

What I did wrong?
