# Global Plugins - Recommend initial set for our API Gateway

Hi - I am setting up Kong for our first api project and planning to define a global plugin for:

Rate Limiting EE  
Request Size Limiting

Wondering if any guidance out there as to what is typically recommended for initial set of global plugins?

(We will use plugins such as oauth on the individual apis, my query relates to what we apply to all apis)

This is pretty much impossible to answer. It really depends on your usecase, there is no default set.
