Does the Kong Ingress Controller work with Mergeable Types?

I am trying to implement mergeable types (see here: https://github.com/nginxinc/kubernetes-ingress/tree/master/examples/mergeable-ingress-types). Does it work with the Ingress Controller?

No, this is not supported for Kong Ingress Controller.

There is no concrete plan yet. With Kong, you can use KongIngress and ingress resource easily to avoid duplicate configuration as is the case with ingress-nginx.

What is the problem you are trying to solve, @will-beta?
I’d love to hear more about the problem for a better understanding of the ask.
