# Cassandra vs PostgreSQL

What are the main differences between Cassandra and PostgreSQL in kong?  
in other word how can i choose between them?

I think the biggest question to ask is how important is HA(High Availability) to your Gateway. If the answer is very important, then Cassandra is the way to go with its replication and native multi-dc friendly architecture.
